Le Conseil d'administration de l'AFMC a le plaisir d'annoncer la nomination de la Dre Constance LeBlanc au poste de pr\u00e9sidente-directrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de l'AFMC \u00e0 compter du 1er<\/sup>juillet 2023. Depuis plus de 75 ans, l'AFMC est la voix de la m\u00e9decine universitaire au Canada et les membres du Conseil d'administration sont convaincus que la Dre LeBlanc saura continuer \u00e0 promouvoir la mission de l'AFMC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Originaire du Nouveau-Brunswick, Connie a fait ses \u00e9tudes de premier cycle \u00e0 l'Universit\u00e9 de Moncton et sa formation en m\u00e9decine \u00e0 l'Universit\u00e9 Laval \u00e0 Qu\u00e9bec. Elle a pratiqu\u00e9 la m\u00e9decine d'urgence de soins tertiaires en Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse pendant plus de 30 ans. Toujours en qu\u00eate de savoir, Connie est titulaire d'une ma\u00eetrise \u00e8s arts en \u00e9ducation m\u00e9dicale, d'une ma\u00eetrise en administration des affaires pour cadres sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s en gestion de la technologie et est r\u00e9cemment devenue sp\u00e9cialiste en inclusion agr\u00e9\u00e9e CanadaMC<\/sup>. La Dre LeBlanc a occup\u00e9 pendant deux mandats le poste de doyenne associ\u00e9e au D\u00e9veloppement professionnel continu \u00e0 l'Universit\u00e9 Dalhousie \u00e0 Halifax, en Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse. Ses recherches portent sur l'\u00e9quit\u00e9, la diversit\u00e9, l'inclusivit\u00e9 et l'accessibilit\u00e9 (EDIA) et l'\u00e9ducation m\u00e9dicale, et elle poss\u00e8de de solides ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents universitaires dans ces domaines. Connie est ravie de collaborer avec le comit\u00e9 des doyens et de s'attaquer aux grandes questions de la m\u00e9decine universitaire au Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outre ses nombreuses r\u00e9alisations professionnelles, Connie est m\u00e8re de deux enfants adultes. Elle a la chance d'avoir un mari compr\u00e9hensif qui la soutient, ce qui lui assure une vie de famille dynamique. Connie joue \u00e9galement de la musique, pratique le karat\u00e9 Shotokan (dont elle est ceinture noire), fait de la plong\u00e9e sous-marine, du ski et est une grande voyageuse.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
