L'AFMC collabore avec l'Association canadienne des \u00e9tudiants noirs en m\u00e9decine (BMSAC) et le Network for the Advancement of Black Learners (N-ABL) afin de recueillir des renseignements sur la fa\u00e7on dont les 17 facult\u00e9s de m\u00e9decine du Canada r\u00e9pondent aux appels \u00e0 l'action de la BMSAC publi\u00e9s en juin 2020, et de mieux comprendre le contexte national actuel des initiatives de lutte contre le racisme et le soutien aux \u00e9tudiants et apprenants noirs dans le secteur de l'\u00e9ducation m\u00e9dicale.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00ab\u202fDepuis la cr\u00e9ation de l'Association canadienne des \u00e9tudiants noirs en m\u00e9decine (BMSAC) en 2020, nous avons travaill\u00e9 non seulement \u00e0 cr\u00e9er une communaut\u00e9 pour les \u00e9tudiants noirs en m\u00e9decine, mais aussi \u00e0 apporter des changements au niveau national. \u00c0 cette fin, nous avons publi\u00e9 nos appels \u00e0 l'action pour formuler des recommandations \u00e0 court et \u00e0 long terme sur les admissions, le programme d'\u00e9tudes et la responsabilisation. Nous reconnaissons qu'un certain nombre de facult\u00e9s de m\u00e9decine ont depuis donn\u00e9 suite \u00e0 ces recommandations et nous sommes heureux des progr\u00e8s r\u00e9alis\u00e9s jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent. Nous reconnaissons \u00e9galement que des lacunes subsistent dans la lutte contre le racisme anti-Noir en m\u00e9decine universitaire et dans le soutien aux \u00e9tudiants noirs en m\u00e9decine. La BMSAC, en collaboration avec le N-ABL, est fi\u00e8re de s'associer \u00e0 l'AFMC pour mener cette analyse contextuelle par le biais d\u2019un sondage. Notre objectif consiste \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer les domaines dans lesquels des progr\u00e8s ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s, ainsi que les lacunes, afin de mieux orienter nos futures initiatives de d\u00e9fense des droits et int\u00e9r\u00eats.\u202f\u00bb<\/p>\n
