faciliter les initiatives dans le domaine de l'\u00e9ducation m\u00e9dicale afin de promouvoir l'\u00e9quit\u00e9, la diversit\u00e9 et l'inclusion dans les facult\u00e9s de m\u00e9decine et les syst\u00e8mes de soins de sant\u00e9 au Canada.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-134665d class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>En tant que porte-parole de la m\u00e9decine universitaire au Canada, l\u2019Association des facult\u00e9s de m\u00e9decine du Canada s\u2019oppose \u00e0 la discrimination raciale ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 toute autre forme de discrimination. L\u2019AFMC est r\u00e9solue \u00e0 travailler avec ses partenaires de la sant\u00e9 pour veiller \u00e0 offrir un des environnements diversifi\u00e9s, inclusifs, culturellement s\u00e9curitaires et \u00e9quitables. Nous mettrons en \u0153uvre des r\u00e9formes institutionnelles et jouerons un r\u00f4le de premier plan dans la lutte contre le racisme syst\u00e9mique gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la formation et \u00e0 l\u2019innovation sur le plan des programmes d\u2019\u00e9tudes, \u00e0 la recherche et \u00e0 la promotion de l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9, de la diversit\u00e9 et de l\u2019inclusion.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Activit\u00e9s en cours\u00a0:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><em>Comit\u00e9 de l\u2019AFMC sur l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9, la diversit\u00e9, l\u2019inclusion (EDI) et l\u2019antiracisme \u00a0\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Ce Comit\u00e9 facilite la collaboration nationale entre les facult\u00e9s de m\u00e9decine canadiennes et apporte son soutien et ses conseils au Conseil d'administration de l'AFMC par l'interm\u00e9diaire du Comit\u00e9 permanent de l'AFMC sur la responsabilit\u00e9 sociale en ce qui concerne les questions strat\u00e9giques et op\u00e9rationnelles li\u00e9es \u00e0 la m\u00e9decine universitaire et plus particuli\u00e8rement aux principes d\u2019EDI et d\u2019antiracisme. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><em>Ateliers sur les pratiques antiracistes\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Le Comit\u00e9 de l'AFMC sur l'\u00e9quit\u00e9, la diversit\u00e9, l'inclusion et l'antiracisme a mis au point un atelier sur la pratique antiraciste \u00e0 l'intention des dirigeants des facult\u00e9s afin de lutter contre le racisme dans les environnements d'apprentissage et de soins de sant\u00e9. Une version inaugurale de cet atelier a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e au Conseil d'administration de l'AFMC en janvier 2023. La r\u00e9action a \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s positive et les membres du Conseil ont approuv\u00e9 l'organisation d'ateliers suppl\u00e9mentaires chaque ann\u00e9e, afin de poursuivre l'apprentissage parmi les responsables de l'\u00e9ducation m\u00e9dicale.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><em>Le Conseil d'administration de l'AFMC approuve l'abandon du MCAT\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00c0 la suite d'une vaste consultation men\u00e9e par le Comit\u00e9 permanent de l'AFMC sur la responsabilit\u00e9 sociale, le Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) a \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnu comme un obstacle important \u00e0 l'admission dans les facult\u00e9s de m\u00e9decine, en particulier pour les candidats racis\u00e9s et les candidats de faible statut socio\u00e9conomique, et a \u00e9t\u00e9 jug\u00e9 injustifiable au regard des mandats de responsabilit\u00e9 sociale.
