AFMC Response to the Federal Budget
April 22, 2024
On the heels of its very successful international congress in Vancouver, the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC) watched with interest as the federal budget was announced last Tuesday. The AFMC celebrates the investments made in areas connected to the social determinants of health, such as housing, youth mental health, and a national school food program.

At their meeting on June 23, 2022, the AFMC Committee on PGME confirmed that students will no longer be required to provide English-French or French-English translations of their university transcripts when applying for the resident match.

This will reduce the cost and the administrative burden for students.
